this runs slower than rebooting into windows, but it is fine for lots of things - even basic use of 3ds studio or rhino. this is more resource-intensive for the computer, so it may get warm - but not abnormally so (the older MBPs run warmer than the new ones IME). When running in parallels or vmware (what i use, myself), you are running windows on top of osx. ![]() no overheating issues when running in windows. the hardware is absolutely standard pc hardware, except for the buttonless trackpad and a couple of slight differences in keyboard layout. Once Parallels Tools are installed, please restart Windows.When running windows native through boot camp, there is absolutely no difference from running windows on a pc. Important: In order to allow seamless operation between Windows and Mac OS X, Parallels Tools will be installed the first time you start Windows after setting Parallels Desktop to work with Boot Camp. You can still use the original Boot Camp Windows installation, separately from Parallels Desktop. Windows and all your data are imported from Boot Camp.
